What’s new from GOSH Cosmetics?

November 10, 2014

I was recently sent a GOSH package packed with some of their new launches. Another reason for this was to let me in on the promotion GOSH is currently running at Edgars stores (until 16th November). If you spend R399 or more on any GOSH products, which isn’t a difficult task, then you will receive a FREE gift containing all 3 products mentioned in this post, a cute black backpack and a sachet of “Good Morning Cream”. I’m going to give a quick run through of each product I used and my thoughts on them. I’m wondering if you guys like “grouped” reviews as well as shorter reviews like this one?

Besides the very cute nail polish inspired bottle the first thing I noticed about this lipstick/lipgloss hybrid was the yummy scent that reminds me of watermelons. These offer the intense colour of lipstick with the shine of a gloss. They’re enriched with Argan oil as well as vitamin E. So these lacquers actually offer your lips a bit of nourishment as well as pretty colour. There are 8 shades on offer and I was given ” Hot Lips” to try out. This orange-red is very wearable and gives a surprisingly semi-opaque finish. If you like a lick of luscious colour that looks like you’ve been nibbling on strawberries all day then this is exactly what you’re looking for. Super glossy, creamy and non-sticky are the three words that immediately pop into my head. If you spot these in store don’t brush them off as nail polishes. These are worth checking out. A glossy, professional ‘manicure’ for your lips. (R99 at Edgars & Red Square)

What girl doesn’t love a bit of sparkle and shine? I’m thinking this smokey charcoal grey GOSH  eye shadow pencil is going to come in handy around the festive season when we’re all about the glitter.  These pencils have a bold, highly-pigmented, metallic finish that feel soft and creamy when applied. When blended out this shade does lose a bit of it’s pigmentation leaving you with a bit more glitter than colour. The water-repellent formula is also preservative and paraben-free. These velvety shadows set fairly quickly and once once dry they stay put. I’m definitely going to be picking up “Silver Rose” and “Beige”. (R139 from Edgars and Red Square)

This one isn’t new to GOSH, but since I’ve never reviewed it before I thought it was only fitting that it get pooled in with the others. I love a good mascara. I’ve mentioned countless times that I’m a mascara-holic. I love long, full lashes and I will stop at nothing to achieve that look. I find that one coat of the GOSH Boombastic mascara already offers a lot of extra lash length. This feels light and non-crispy on my eyelashes. The short plastic teeth comb through your lashes and offer that perfect lengthened and separated look that I love. I haven’t experienced any clumping or flaking and removal is a breeze. As far as mascara’s go this one is for the shopping list. (R140 at Edgars and Red Square)
