When I’m trying out a new shampoo and conditioner I normally look for a product that cleans my hair, gives it body, improves manageability and leaves me with glossy locks. This volume control range from Suigo ticks all those boxes. This range is suitable for brittle and weak hair and it’s unique intensifying formula strengthens hair, prevents breakage and repairs hair elasticity. The shampoo smells amazing and I think that might be contributed to the fact that it contains Orchid extract. It also contains Keratin, which I’ve dubbed Mr. Smooth. This special ingredient is what helps eliminate frizz and leaves your tresses feeling silky soft.
Beauty-Worx introduced me to this delightful duo as well as the brand a few weeks ago when I was given these two products which were specifically selected for my hair type. I generally use a shampoo & conditioner a few times to really get a feel for the product and after using this pair for about 4 washes I feel confident enough to share my thoughts and experience with you guys. In all honesty I actually felt pretty sure of myself after the first wash, but I decided to give these two a bit more of a thorough test before writing this review. But before I jump right in I want to let you know about the Beauty-Worx online store. This convenient online beauty store stocks well known brands such as Tangle Teezer, Moya, MUD (Make-Up Designory), The Konjac Sponge, FHI Heat and Ordinary Skincare.
Seeing as this is my first time using anything from this Japanese brand I thought it was only fitting to introduce you to them. Their philosophy is all about first-class botanic nursing for your hair. Suigo’s mission is to create high-performance natural haircare that is powered by nature and proven by science. Suigo use potent plants, organic ingredients, natural essential oils, and animal friendly practices, packaging and policies. That actually makes me feel a bit warm and fuzzy when I hear that. I certainly know that my friend Cassidy from The Glam Green Girl will approve 😉
Both the shampoo and conditioner contain deionized water, which is something that I find quite interesting. It’s essentially purified water that has had the ions (electrical charges) removed. (Tap water is usually full of ions from the soil from the pipes). This is what leaves your hair so insanely silky and soft! The shampoo also mentions fatty acids from coconut oils and a form of collagen on the ingredient list. My hair feels nicely cleansed after every wash and the thick consistency lathers up quite nicely. The conditioner on the other hand contains a cationic active agent which works as an antistatic all while moisturising your hair. The conditioner has a thick, creamy consistency that feels incredibly moisturising and luxurious on my hair but even with it’s rich, treatment-like formula it still doesn’t weigh down my fine hair which is always number 1 on my checklist when it comes to a product like this. My hair is more voluminous, shiner and generally looks healthier. I’m not sure if it’s my imagination but my hair even feels a bit thicker! This conditioner also offers a protective barrier that locks in all those good-for-your-hair ingredients. Another thing it locks in is the scent. I keep catching a whiff when I brush my hair or let down my ponytail/sock bun. Hmmm…
