When it comes to eye shadows I’m always wooed by palettes. A few complimentary shades housed in one easy to use palette. What more could a girl want? The Hean 5 HD Magnetic Eyeshadow Palette is just that – easy to use. The palette I received for review (from Glamore) is the lovely Café Bar which contains five ‘coffee’ hues. If I had to describe each shade relating to a coffee drink I would say this palette is composed of Caffe Latte, Cappuccino, Caramel Macchiato, Espresso and Ristretto. Hmmm, anybody else craving a hot cup of joe right about now?
The Hean 5 HD Magnetic Eyeshadow Palette (R260 on Glamore) boasts five buttery soft shadows. The three darker shades are beautifully pigmented and blend easily. However, the two lighter shades are not as pigmented, or perhaps they just don’t show up nicely on my pale skin. The swatch below shows about four/five layers of the lighter colours. It was the only way I could get them to show up on camera. So even though the two paler shades aren’t as pigmented they still offer the same velvet soft texture as the other three.
All five shades blend nicely together. The Café colours compliment each other and can give your eyes a pretty, understated everyday look or even a dark, sultry, smoky look. The shadows don’t crease and I experience zero fallout. I also found that wearing a primer under these shadows makes them last the entire day, but without any base they still have a pretty decent wear time. In these photos I’m wearing all five shades blended together.
The great thing about this Hean palette, which I feel is worth mentioning, is that all five eyeshadow pans pop out easily. They are contained in the palette with a magnet. This means you can swap around your shadows and create your own personal selection of shades. If you own more than one of these palettes or you happen to have individual eye shadow pans in your collection then this little palette is the perfect thing to house all your favourite colours. It makes traveling that much easier, don’t you think?
No eyeshadow look is complete without a lick of liner. To finish off my makeup I used the Hean Hypno Style Eyeliner Pen (R140 on Glamore). It looks familiar doesn’t it? I mentioned it in my last 5 Favourites Friday video in case you forgot. I love that the fine felt tip is firm, but not too firm. With a steady hand I’m able to create a clean, precise line and build it up to my desired thickness. The colour is perfectly pigmented and stays put for most of the day. This eyeliner pen is fast-drying and I’ve experienced no smudging. Bam! The long-lasting formula contains d-panthenol and glycerine which prevents skin dryness. There’s a reason this little waterproof liner made a 5 Faves appearance. It’s pretty darn awesome.
You can buy both these Hean makeup items from Glamore Cosmetics. The quality is fabulous and if you’re looking to try out a new brand then head on over there. This Polish brand has been around since 1981.
