{I’ve Tried That} ♥ Essie Treat Love & Color

0

Over the last few months, I’ve been struggling with something that’s never troubled me before – yellow nails. This unsightly hue governed my ability to paint my nails, or rather to not paint my nails. This catch-22 submitted me to an unwanted ‘Damned if I do, damned if I don’t’ situation. If I left my nails bare, they were discoloured and disgusting, but if I painted them it only exacerbated the condition of my nails. What was a girl to do? Considering this quandary, you can only imagine my utter delight when the perfect solution landed right on my doorstep and right into my lap. Essie to the rescue.

The new Essie Treat Love & Color strengtheners (R134,95 at Dischem) offer you nail care plus colour in 1 easy step. This simple step proposed a way out of my fingernail fiasco. I was able to conceal my damaged nails while providing them with a bit of TLC at the same time. This was exactly what I was looking for. The best part? The formula actually mended my messed up nails. I can honestly say that while wearing these sheer treatment polishes, all I expected was a way to hide my nails. The Essie TLC nail strengtheners claim to offer your nails 60 percent less peeling and 35 percent less breakage. These soft, sheer shades are infused with collagen and camellia extract, and they’re DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free.

  • Laven-dearly – neutralizing adorable sheer lavender
  • Sheers to you – nurturing sheer pink blush
  • Treat-me-bright – brightening sheer powder white

All three shades supply you with an instant brightening glow and a pretty wash of sheer colour. I apply two to three coats for a semi-opaque finish. Over the last few weeks my nails have been ‘soaking up’ the TLC and I can happily report that they no longer look like they below to a professional carrot peeler, they’re stronger, healthier and less brittle. You can expect a wide, curved brush, which applies like a dream; smooth application and a formula that dries relatively quickly.

The Essie Treat Love & Color strengtheners are only available at Dischem and sell for R134,95.
