I’m a huge fan of BABOR and I’m a huge fan of cleansing oils, so naturally I would be a huge fan of the BABOR Hy-Ol (R456) and BABOR Phytoactive (R368) duo. This two-step cleansing process has been a firm favourite in my nightly routine since it arrived on my doorstep in early December. The distinguishing quality that sets it apart from a few of my other cleansers can be summed up using only one word – effortless. This biphase deep-action cleanser removes makeup with the ease of a professional. BABOR combined the natural cleansing powers of water and oil (and unicorn tears) when they formulated this duo. BABOR’S hydrophilic cleansing oil, Hy-Ol is suitable for all skin types and contains pure, natural soybean as well as sesame and peanut oils.
If you’re unsure of how to use the twosome then let me explain it to you – gently massage 3 pumps of Hy-Ol over the face, apply 2 pumps of phytoactive on top and blend together. Add water, massage until a milky emulsion forms then rinse off. I notice that when you apply the phytoactive base it feels very invigorating on your skin. The phytoactive base that I’m using is intended for dry skins and contains detoxifying extract of agrimonia eupatoria and selected herbal essences of mint, birch and rosemary. It sounds refreshing, don’t you think? My thoughts on this cleansing pair is that they feel gentle on my face, they don’t strip my skin and they do a marvelous job of removing makeup. I’ll summarize it for you – luxury skincare at its best. You can purchase both these products off the BABOR website.
Now for the best part, am I right? It’s GIVEAWAY time. The wonderful people over at BABOR were nice enough to offer one lucky Lipgloss Kisses reader a chance to win the two products I just reviewed as well as the Doctor BABOR Derma Cellular Ultimate Vitamin C Booster Concentrate (R1,922) and because it’s summer time (read heat wave time) they’ve thrown in a BABOR branded cooler bag for good measure. That puts this BABOR hamper value at well over R2,700.

My best tip – sunblock, always wear sunblock 🙂
Many men & women focus on hair and face but tend to forget about the one thing that gives our true age away, our hands! I put sunscreen on my hands as they’re constantly exposed to the sun.
Drink, drink, drink and maintaining a healthy diet!
My tip is keep yout face clean. During summer we sweat a lot so keep a pack of baby wipes or beauty wipes in your bag and clean your face every few hours. If you wear make up then I don’t know lol.
My best skin care tip is to cleanse and exfoliate and protect your skin with a good sunblock.
Another tip is keep deodorant in your bag as well and if you feel too sweaty then wipe your under arms with wipes and re-deoderize to stay smelling fresh.
My best tip would be that people always forget about their feet – always makes sure that you use sunscreen on your feet, because they are exposed to the sun and it’s a hell of a pain when you are sunburned – i remember the pain my dad went through many years ago!
My tip for 2016 is something I need to really practice. DO not pick on your face!!!! I’m 31 this year and I still haven’t learnt.
My best skincare tips are:
Be gentle with your skin, pat your products in as you apply them, not only does it feel better but it absorbs better as the patting motions increase blood flow to the skin. And my next best tip is to allow your skin to breathe! Even though we love makeup, skip it for a day or 2 in between. This will allow ur skin to breather which also saves you the extra step in the evening of removing it.

BABOR is divine! And i cannot stand when people say “its more for aged skin, why are you using it?”. Ive been dreaming of trying the Doctor BABOR Derma Cellular Ultimate Vitamin C Booster Concentrate forEVER!
My best skincare tip would be to keep skin hydrated, not only on the outside with a great day and night cream – but also from the inside by drinking loads of water. This will rid the body of toxins and give skin a more radiant glow x
Skincare tip:Always remove makeup before bed, follow a deep cleansing skin regime and exfoliate! Even if it’s once a week
my tips at the moment are to scrub regularly and remember sunblock when being in peek sun. I am also using the body shops facial tea tree oil to help get rid of spots, pregnancy hormones are causing havoc with my poor skin.
Moisturise and never leave home without applying sunblock
As I have got older I realised exfoliating twice a week is a must for me and I love using a serum as well
These sound Amaaazing!! I have not used BABOR products would love to win these so I can try them out:) 🙂
My best skin care tip is to drink lots of weather especially in this heat..always wear sunscreen, don’t ever EVER go to bed with makeup on always exfoliate to get rid of all the dead skin.
Fingers crossed 🙂 🙂
Drink enough water!!!
Don’t smoke!!!!
Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles.
If you smoke, the best way to protect your skin is to quit.
Moisturize and clean face daily——stay hydrated by drink lots of water
Simplify your skincare regime: Cleanse (properly), exfoliate and moisturise (with an SPF).
Always use a serum
Always wear sunscreen, reapply if it comes off either from perspiring or swimming.
My best skincare tip for 2016 is quality vs quantity. Rather buy one or two top quality products and have fewer steps in your skincare regime, than a whole bunch of cheap products.
Liked and commented 🙂
always patch test new products on your arm before using them on your face, esp if you have a sensitive skin
Tip is to always wear sunblock. It takes seconds to apply, but can save your skin from damage and looking years older. Also, my mom had skin cancer last year due to sun exposure so definitely my number 1 tip to prevent others from going through the same!
Water and sunblock!!
Xxx
Dnt forget to treat your neck.
Get the basics right first. Make sure you know your skin type ! Only then can you identify the correct products to use.
And remember that skin changes over time. What worked in your 20’s will not necessarily do the job in your 30’s or 40’s!
Lastly, use quality products and your skin will always be a step ahead of the rest.
Facial mist is the best tip for the hot summer months. With one spritz you can cool down and make your summer makeup stick.
Right now my best tip is less is more. I’ve realized using a million different things just freaked my skin out, and with simplicity has come a far clearer skin. Also sunscreen, sunscreen and more sunscreen (and never skip a thorough preferably double cleanse!)
Invest in a good moisturiser, i use Kiehl’s and its amazing. It might be expensive now but you will be greatful when you older.
It’s a place that in the past I hardly ever remembered but one I now try never to forget and that is the skin on my neck and chest. It ages so quickly but gets ignored so my number one tip is to make sure to put whatever you put on your face onto your neck and chest as well! Nobody wants a youthful face but old lady leather neck and chest!!
To ensure i have enough sunscreen i fill the hollow of my palm with sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to coat my face, neck, and ears. Then i know i’m covered. Specially in the heat that cape town is going through
Apply moisturiser every night. Start young and do so even if you have an oily skin
I would say my best skin care tips are sunscreen, moisturising day and night and a good primer before makeup.
Best beauty tip is to replace your mascara regularly! Eyelashes can breed some dodgy bugs!
Best beauty tip is to cleanse, tone and moisturize twice a day and to use a good eye cream twice daily
Include foods with essential fatty acids in your diet like almonds, spinach and eggs theyr so good for your skin
My all time favourite tip for a glowing skin is investing in an enzyme exfoliatior and using it twice a week! Enzymes digest the dead skin cells off the skin revealing a rejuvanted younger looking skin! I also see the results straight away 🙂
Use a face cloth to remove your cleanser and give your face a bit of a massage. This helps to ensure your face is super clean and exfoliate a little too. Oh and sleep on a silk pillowcase!
Remove your make up before you get into bed.
I believe in oats and honey home made facial scrub and drinking lots of water!
Going back to basics in 2016 and making sure that I eat healthy foods and get enough sleep. No more chocolate binges!
A good SPF day cream and drink plenty of water throughout the day – your skin will be your best friend for a very long time , I promise !
Always cleanse,tone and moisturize
I tweeted @clickety_clack_
My top tip is to drink enough unsweetened fluids and to eat more colourful food – fruit and veg, and less simple starches and less dairy. Also, sleep on a satin pillowcase for smooth hair and skin! xx
My best skincare tips for 2016 as always, Wash my face with the Coldest water in the morning, keeps me fresh and vibrant open the pores. Sunscreen is a must!!!! And noth forgeting to remove my makeup at nite to set my skin free. Twiiting @fatzzzzzz Facebook: Fathima Mahomed
Before you hit the beach, make sure to lather up with at least SPF 30 or higher to avoid painful sunburn, premature aging, and unsightly flaking. During the summer months, the heat and the extra time spent at the beach can lead to dehydration.Be sure to drink sufficcient water every day. Staying hydrated cleanses toxins from your body and helps your body, especially your skin, maintain moisture balance.Incorporating fruits and vegetables into your diet can help you maintain a healthy glow by keeping your skin firm, protecting your cells from free radicals that can form from sun exposure, and guarding against damage from the sun’s UV rays. Use soap free cleansers and a good scrub to keep skin moist all the time. Drink at at least 8-10 glasses of water every day & include fruits and vegetables into your every day’s diet. They will impart a natural glow to my skin and keep it moisturized. Green Tea Toner – This toner I make at home. When used regularly, it guards my skin against premature aging. The antioxidants present in the green tea soothes my skin when irritated, on the other hand the lemon and mint present in this homemade toner brightens-up my face. Limit skin exposure to the sun as much as possible and always make sure I apply (natural) sun cream protection before you do head out to soak in some Vitamin D.
Always use sun block and drink plenty water
Drink lots of water, eat fresh fruit and veg, always wear sunscreen, never sleep with makeup and rinse your face with cool water to tighten up the pores and prevent oil and dirt from entering.
Never go to bed with makeup on your face and never leave the house without sunscreen, even in Winter. And use lipbalm for soft lips and protection from the sun!
Wear SPF Every Single Day. While this should seem elementary by now, there are still people (myself included) that tend to forget how vital sun protection really is. “Sunscreen is one of the most important things you can do for your skin! It not only protects your skin against skin cancer and sun damage. So slather on your SPF religiously and your chances of seeing early signs of aging will go down significantly.
Awesome giveaway. My best beauty advice of 2016 would be to cleanse your face daily and apply moisturiser to the face and neck. To also drink enough water daily and to get enough sleep. We need to look after our faces and Im sure using Babor we can all achieve that. x
Treat yourself to a facial once a month.
Drink lots of water, never go to sleep without having removed your makeup and sunscreen is your best friend.
Try to go for soap free, alcohol free cleansers. Always use a cleanser and toner twice a day to remove impurities. Drink lots of water to keep skin hydrated. And my favourite, make a mask out of turmeric and milk and apply it twice a week before you shower.
Wash your face before bed and spray rosewater on it before you sleep.
My number one love of skincare is exfoliate, exfoliate and exfoliate ( well not too much at least once a week) kill those dead cells!!!! And then drink water, water and more water. Your doctor doesn’t Exaggerate when he says drink 8 glasses of water. It really is a wonder for our skin and please never sleep with make-up on. Aint nobody got time for wrinkles!!!! 🙂
OMG loads of entries, have to be super lucky for this one!
Loving the Babor products!
Don’t lick your lips. Apply a good lip balm, especially one with sun protection, and your lips will look good.
SPF 50 every day. Two liters of water every day. And never sleep with makeup on!
Hi there, best tipI have learned especially in my forties, is to be oh so gentle with the delicate skin around the eyes, pat dry not rub and DO use a eye cream at night! Proper cleansing before bed also a must! x
Ditch the chemicals, go natural.
Invest in pampering my feet and go green or organic of skin care products .
Always wear sunscreen. No matter what the weather
Always wear sunscreen spf50, wash you makeup off every night and a great facial oil at night, use a cleanser that doesn’t contain harsh ingredients that strip your skin like Babor products xx
Moisturize always!
Always remove makeup before you go to bed and moisurise
My best skincare tip is to use cleanser & toner daily
Keep a little case with lip balm, cuticle oil, and hand and foot cream in your bedside table, and make a ritual of applying each one before going to sleep.
never underestimate the damages that the suns rays cause on your skin – always use a sunblock, even in overcast weather.
never forget to use moisturiser and preferably one with an SPF, make sure to drink plenty water too
Always hygienicly wipe your phone. The germs on your phone in contact with your skin only spells disaster and acne!
use castor oil for long lashes and for thick hair…
All the basic good skin care tips have already been posted. What I have learnt over the years (I am in my forties) is that ones skin changes…daily, seasonally and dependant on so many factors and one has to learn to identify what your skin needs when. Keep up to date with developments in skin products. You know your skin better than anyone else!
I’m a huge fan of Vitamin E Oil/Tissue Oil. I add a drop to my moisturiser regularly. It a powerful antioxidant and also assists in protecting and repairing the skin.
My best tip has been take your makeup off! Doesn’t matter how tired you are or if you’ve worn the smallest amount… take it off! Your skin will thank you in the morning.
Moisturize moisturize moisturize.
And pick me plse. Its my Bday tmrw ♡♡♡♡
I love oil on my skin in winter
Its so nourishing
Drinking more water and eating less chocolate – 😉
