12 Wishes Of Lipgloss KISSmas ❄ Day 5 – Santa’s Little Hair Helpers

December 11, 2014

We’ve already covered the subject of nails, eye-shadows, red lips and even makeup helpers but let’s not forget about hair. I don’t know about you but I like to give my hair a little extra oomph and TLC. I’ve been using a few products this year that do just that and now I’m going to be Santa’s little hair helper and share them with you. Don’t worry you can say thank you later. 😉

Moroccanoil® Extra Volume Shampoo
Those of you with flat, fine and let’s be honest lifeless hair will appreciate this extra volume shampoo from Moroccanoil.  I’ve tried several Moroccanoil products with only great results so before I even used this shampoo I had high expectations. Let me just say that it doesn’t disappoint. It doesn’t feel heavy on your hair but the consistency of the actual product is quite thick. It does a decent job of foaming up and rinses out easily but it can be a bit difficult to spread or work through your hair. I actually immediately notice a ‘plumping’ effect when I lather up. This shampoo has been formulated to weightlessly give fine hair a volume boost. It’s infused with antioxidant-rich Argan oil, revitalizing nutrients and a plant extract that naturally plumps up the cuticle. Also, like all other Moroccanoil products it has that divine signature scent we all love. (You can get this for R213 on  EverythingHair.co.za)

Pantene Ant-Frizz Smooth Cream

Pantene Anti-Frizz Smooth Cream
There’s a reason this little hair helper was featured on my 5 Favourites Friday a few months back. My hair is having a love affair with Mr. Smooth and I don’t see it ending anytime soon. If you want your hair to look extra ‘polished’ then this is the hair cream for you. I have a problem with frizz and flyaways. Now when I say frizz I’m talking lion mane frizz. I need a product that smooths all that down, leaves my hair silky soft and still weightless. The Pantene Anti-Frizz Smooth Cream does all that and maybe even a bit more. Another great thing about this anti-frizz wonder is that it doesn’t fight with natural curls. So instead of making your hair poker straight it works with what you have and just smooths it all out. This is definitely on my re-purchase list. But please don’t be put off by the ‘Normal-To-Thick Hair’ that’s labelled on the bottle. I have super fine hair and this works like a charm. John Frieda Luxurious Volume Root Booster Blow Dry Lotion I’ve been using this one for quite a while now and I’ve almost tossed it on the empties pile. I pretty much use it every time I style my hair. This root booster definitely gives a lift and doesn’t leave any sort of residue or stickiness behind. The John Frieda blow dry lotion boosts your hair at the crown to create a thicker, more professional looking blow-dry. When your hair is still damp you section it at the top and spray all around your crown. Dry and style as usual and I guarantee you will notice a lift. If you have fine hair like me then you know how important it is to find a product that offers a much needed volume boost without feeling heavy or sticky.  Great job, John Frieda.
